Shipping Policy

We endeavour to process all orders within 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive an email notification when your order has shipped.

When experiencing a large volume of online orders and/or shipping delays out of our control,  this may result in longer processing and shipping times.

 

Domestic Shipping Rates 

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. 

Shipping costs for kayaks are provided on a case-by-case basis. Customers are free to arrange their own shipping of kayaks outside our free delivery area. Please contact us for further information.

Conditions for Free Shipping on Orders Over $229.00 

Hunter Water Sports offers free shipping Australia-wide for most products with some exceptions for large and bulky items. Free shipping must be selected in the cart before checkout. If the item is not eligible for free shipping or the total is not above $229.00 this option will not be available.

Conditions for Free Shipping on Hobie Kayaks

Hunter Water Sports offers free shipping on Hobie kayak orders to approved clients in the Greater Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle, Hunter, and Port Stephens areas. Eligibility for free kayak shipping must be confirmed with a Hunter Water Sports staff member before purchase.

In-store pickup

You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at our Belmont store located at Shop 3/638 Pacific Highway Belmont, NSW. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1 to 2 business days. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions. 

Our in-store pickup hours are 9:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday and 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturdays. Pickups for kayaks are available on Sundays by appointment only. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

 

International Shipping

Due to the highly variable nature of international shipping costs depending on the weight, size and destination of the package, we recommend getting in touch directly with our team for overseas purchases.

Alternatively, select international shipping at checkout. Once we receive the order we will send an email quote to the purchaser outlining shipping options and costs. If the purchaser agrees to and pays the quoted shipping fee we will ship the order ASAP. If the shipping fee is deemed unsuitable HWS will cancel your order.

 

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. 

If you haven’t received your order within 10 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

 

Shipping to P.O. boxes

Some large items can not be shipped to P.O Boxes,  if you are ordering a bulky item and wish to ship to a P.O Box, please contact us and we can investigate if this is possible. 

 

Refunds, Returns, and Exchanges

We want you to be happy with your new purchase! If you are unhappy with your online purchase for any reason, we will gladly accept an exchange or return of the full price minus the shipping costs. We accept returns up to 60 days after delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition. 

Returned merchandise that is incorrectly supplied or damaged during shipping should include the packaging and be in the original condition as when it was received (unless claiming warranty).
