Its simple and user-friendly design allows for easy installation and removal from the kayak. The flag mast securely attaches to the base using a clamping thumb screw, providing quick and convenient flag removal when needed.
This innovative base mounts effortlessly using the existing moulded threads found on various points on all Hobie kayak models. No screws, holes or drilling is required, making installation a breeze. This mount system can be used in place of any screw-in padeye without compromising utility as the base incorporates a moulded saddle that enables the routing of the kayak’s cargo bungee hook. To install, simply remove one of the threaded fittings in the cargo area and replace it with the specially designed flag holder fitting. The threaded fitting remains in the kayak for future use.
