With the Hobie Kayak Sidekick Amas, you can adjust the float height easily by clicking, twisting, and clicking again, much like adjusting a paddle shaft. There are three positions to choose from: high, medium, and low. The high position is ideal for cruising with less drag and increased secondary stability, while the medium or low position is better for primary stability with less initial roll.
The kit is easy to set up and can be used right off the beach. Alternatively, it can be disassembled and deflated for storage inside the hull, and then assembled and inflated when you reach your destination. Inflation is a breeze – simply blow a few breaths into each float through the one-way valves. Deflation is just as easy, with a quick unscrew of the valve cap. The kit can be installed using 4 bolts and expanding nuts.
