Replacement 6″ round Twist & Seal hatch for Hobie kayaks. As used on early Hobie Sport, Oasis and Odyssey kayak models. Part# 71701001. Includes rubber O-ring, foam gasket, backing plate and stainless fitting hardware

Hobie 8-Inch Round Twist and Seal Hatch Kit

The Hobie 8-Inch Round Twist and Seal Hatch Kit incorporates a redesigned hatch lid that was introduced on most models from 2019 onward. This hatch is a compatible replacement for the old-style Hobie 8″ hatches while offering several improvements over its predecessor. It is lighter in weight, has a better seal to prevent water intrusion, and includes a bottle opener on the underside of the lid. The lid is hinged to prevent accidental loss, and the hatch cover does not use threaded fasteners that can become stuck. Instead, it features a cork-screw-like mechanism for easy opening and closing with a simple twist of the handle. The kit includes a foam gasket, backing plate, and stainless mounting hardware.
